RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County school officials have said that three new schools are set to welcome year-round students on Monday.
Staff at Turner Creek Elementary School were busy Thursday with final preparations for the first day. Turner Creek will bring the number of year-round schools in Wake County to 15.
A potential safety issue looming at Turner Creek is the traffic signal out front on N.C. 55. The light still was not working Thursday, although officials expect it will be by Monday.
