FRANKLINTON, N.C. — There was a scary moment on the road for a Franklin County sheriff's deputy Wednesday.
Deputy B.R. Watkins was responding to a call near Franklinton when he hydroplaned on some standing water.
His cruiser went off the road, hit a fire hyrdrant and then a utility pole.
Deputy Watkins was only slightly hurt.
