Fayetteville Leaders Consider Water Project For Festival Park

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville city leaders hope a new idea makes a bigger splash than a proposed 400-foot tower.

Officials are considering a cascading water feature. It comes just one week after the city council dropped the tower concept.

Many residents opposed the tower because of its size and appearance. They asked the city to find a better centerpiece for the new Festival Park.

Council members must still vote on the water idea.
