Fire Prompts Child Porn Investigation

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested because of what firefighters found at an early morning fire.

Firefighters responding to a fire at 1016 Broad St. at 1:30 a.m. found a photo album inside the residence that contained pictures of girls age 8 and younger in sexually explicit poses, authorities said.

John William Overman, who lives in the house, was charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, authorities said.
