DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are looking for answers after the discovery of a decomposed body.
According to police, neighbors noticed an odor coming from a lot in the 1500 block of Chapel Hill Road Monday morning.
Police found the body around 7 a.m. behind an unoccupied house at 1519 Chapel Hill Road.
Police have not been able to determine the sex or race of the body, which has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's ffice in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
The cause of death has not been determined. But investigators said they are treating it as a suspicious death.
