FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Investigators believe they are close to identifying the body of a man found naked in a creek Tuesday.
They say people who live in that part of Cumberland County told them about a homeless man who used to hang out in the area and disappeared a few weeks ago.
Detectives say the timing and descriptions seem to match. Now, they are hoping someone knows that man's name.
Investigators are not sure how he died.
