CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — An autopsy on a decomposed body found in a ditch near Interstate 95 in Cumberland County is complete.
Preliminary findings revealed no obvious signs of trauma. Officials have not been able to determine the man's cause of death.
The body is described as being that of a 5-foot-8 black male, approximately 60 years old with a slender build.
Officials said the only distinctive characteristic is that the individual only had one tooth on the lower front jaw.
Officials estimated the individual has been deceased for 10 to 12 days.
