Funeral Scheduled For N.C. Guardsman Killed In Iraq

WINTERVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina National Guardsman killed last week in Iraq will be buried Thursday.

Capt. Chris Cash, of Winterville, was part of the 30th Heavy Separate Brigade. He was one of three soldiers and dozens of civilians killed in a series of coordinated attacks.

Cash's funeral will be held at 3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church in Winterville.
