RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are investigating a traffic death in Raleigh involving a tractor-trailer rig Tuesday morning on Corporation Parkway at New Hope Road.
Authorities said Raymond Lee Peace, 62, of Nashville, was driving the vehicle, and Michael Gerald Radford, 43, of Nashville, was working under the trailer. Peace told authorities that he backed up after seeing a prearranged signal from Radford. Pearce reportedly backed up the vehicle, killing Radford.
Investigators said both men were employees of Edwards, Inc., of Spring Hope, the registered owner of the vehicle.
