Raleigh Police Make Arrest In Weekend Shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting on Capital Boulevard Sunday morning.

Howard Pierce, 26, is charged with being an accessory in Leonard Bland's death. He is being held in the Wake County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Bland, 23, was shot at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Starmount Drive.

Police say Pierce drove away from the scene with Jermaine Johnson, the man suspected of pulling the trigger. Johnson, 22, remains at large.
