Duke Researcher Accused Of ID Theft

DURHAM, N.C. — A Duke University researcher admitted he used someone else's identity to try to steal about $4 million in home loans.

On Friday, a judge placed Chien Chun Hsu on probation for two years and ordered him to perform 250 hours of community service work.

Hsu must also surrender his certified public accountant license and to refrain from doing any accounting work.
