Church Leaders Attend Workshop On Avoiding Potential Scams

RALEIGH, N.C. — People of faith learned how to keep their congregation safe from scammers.

Leaders from several congregations met Thursday for a workshop on avoiding con artists. The group learned how to recognize and avoid scams.

The scams often involve "get-rich quick" investments or illegal pyramid schemes.
