Durham Police Seek Kidnapped Twins
Durham, N.C. — Durham authorities are trying to locate 17-month-old twins who they say were kidnapped from their adoptive parents over the weekend.
Allison Lee Quets, 49, the children's birth mother who has monthly visitation rights, picked them up on Dec. 22 but failed to return them Sunday evening, police said.
Police checked Quets' apartment on Trailview Lane but no one was there. They believe Quets might have taken the children to Florida or Kentucky.
The twins --Tyler Lee Needham (Quets) and Holly Ann Needham (Quets) –have blond hair and blue eyes and might be traveling in a white Plymouth van with North Carolina license LRJ-6644 or Florida license E37-7HZ.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4427.
