RALEIGH, N.C. — A struggling business park may get another chance to turn things around.
A Senate subcommittee voted to restore $1.6 million in state funding to the Global TransPark in Kinston.
Supporters say the money is needed to keep the park running while it tries to attract new business. Opponents say the Global Transpark has had enough time and state money.
The state House and Senate still has to approve more funding.
