Wake County Commissioners Approve $746 Million Budget

Posted Updated

WAKE COUNTY, N.C — On Monday, county commissioners passed a $746 million budget that includes an additional $10.7 million for schools.

However, Wake County schools will not get all the money they were after. The budget is $5 million less than the school system was seeking.

Under the budget, property taxes will remain unchanged at 60.4 cents per $100 of assessed value for the second consecutive year.

The county budget also increases funding to Human Services and Public Safety.
