Jason and Michelle Young
RALEIGH, N.C. — (Nov 3) Wake County authorities spent at least two weeks at the home of a young pregnant mother who was found dead inside with her 2-year-old daughter at her side.

A preliminary autopsy report indicated that Michelle Young, 29, died from blunt force trauma.

Investigators have been tight-lipped about the case, but have said they are making progress in the case – having conducted more than 100 interviews and followed up on at least leads in three states.

Young was last seen alive the night before her death. She apparently had been visiting with friends at her home until about 10:30 p.m.

Young's husband, Jason Young, was out of town on business when his wife's body was found, authorities said.

Investigators have not named any suspects and have said very little about the investigation.

Search warrants released in early December, however, offered some information into the case. They showed that authorities had seized evidence from the Young residence belonging to Jason Young and that Jason Young had been uncooperative with law-enforcement authorities.

Jason Young talked with investigators the day his wife's body was found and later gave fingerprints under a court order, but Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said he has refused to speak with investigators.
