DURHAM, N.C. — The Heart of Durham motel is coming down.
Next month, crews will start removing asbestos and other hazardous materials. Those actions will clear the way for the wrecking ball.
Work was delayed because of bidding problems with the contractors.
The property itself has been deserted since the mid-1990s.
