Jars filled with marijuana were found inside a Princeville home where two people were killed in March, according to search warrants released Thursday.

Quantellis Carr, 33, and his girlfriend, Jasmine Chesson, 31, were shot execution-style inside their Princeville home on March 18. None of their five children was home at the time.

Antwan Andre Anthony, 29, of 3729 Moore Drive in Bethel, and Willie Whitehead, 23, of 101 Devonshire Drive in Pinetops, made their first court appearance Thursday morning after being arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

"I wanted to see them personally, but they didn't show (any) remorse. They didn't care what they did," Chesson's mother, Nancy Caldero, said after attending the court hearing.

Caldero noted that Anthony rolled his eyes as the charges against him were read in court. "He doesn't have (any) respect for life, period," she said.

She described her daughter as bubbly and said she wants justice for her family.

"She was a good friend. She was sweet. She would help anybody," Caldero said of Chesson.

Police haven't disclosed a motive for the shootings, but search warrants state that investigators found four Mason jars and one Ball jar atop kitchen cabinets that were filled with marijuana. Marijuana also was found hidden in a jewelry cabinet and in a bag in the living room, warrants state.

Investigators also seized three shell casings, a cellphone and a tablet computer, which they said might contain photographs of the killers, according to a search warrant.

Alex Rasheed Gibson, 18, of 618 Danielle Drive in Greenville, also is charged with murder and robbery in the case, while Ray Shasteen, 20, of 4674 Toddy Road in Farmville, and Ronnell Joyner, 20, of 4148 Corbett Circle in Farmville, are charged as accessories after the fact of murder.

Investigators allege that Shasteen and Joyner helped hide the gun used in the shootings.

Anthony and Whitehead are also charged with killing three people during an armed robbery of a Farmville convenience store on April 1.

Police there said the pair, along with Xavier Montel Shamble, 19, and an unidentified juvenile, killed Mokbel Mohamed "Sam" Almujanhi, 16, as he mopped the floor at the Hustle Mart, his father's convenience store. The owner's nephew, Nabil Nasser Saeed Al'mogannahi, 26, and a cousin, Gaber Alawi, 24, were also shot and killed.

legalize / decriminalize marijuana possession.

"LOL by keeping a natural plant in a jar? You liberals are hopeless."

I guarantee that person is not a liberal, and most likely a conservative. It is the conservatives that are dead set against legalization . . . you must be smoking too much!

Why does it take 5 people to hide a gun? That doesn't sound right to me.

Its ashame that people do not respect others lifes anymore, you have to watch your back everywhere you go because you never know who is lurking behind you waiting for you to slip up. I never go anywhere late at night alone anymore because this world is too crazy.

Anthony and Whitehead need to be put to sleep, there nothing more than rabid animals.
