Raleigh Rape Suspect Released From Hospital, Taken To Central Prison

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh rape suspect is out of the hospital and behind bars.
Charles Kearney was shot in the head after a confrontation with U.S. marshals and Wake Forest Police two weeks ago.
Kearney is charged with raping and kidnapping a woman in Raleigh. He also faces charges for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a woman in Rocky Mount.
His bail has been set at $2 million.
Kearney is being housed at Central Prison because it has a hospital which can deal with his injuries.
