RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh committee approved a smaller version of a RBC Center sign with fewer logos.
The committee wants the city to send a letter of approval to the state Department of Transportation.
Raleigh said the original plan for the sign violated the city's sign ordinance.
As part of the letter of recommendation, the city will concede the sign is on DOT property and not subject to city rules.
