RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County grand jury on Monday indicted a man who led Durham deputies on a dangerous chase.

Deputies said Anthony Massennburg took off in a pickup truck after what appeared to be a drug deal. They chased him into Raleigh, where Massenburg crashed at the Interstate 440-Wade Avenue exit ramp.

Massengburg was treated at the hospital, then taken to jail.

He was indicted Monday on felony car-theft charges.
