RALEIGH, N.C. — A local landmark has received the food industry's highest honor.
The Angus Barn Restaurant has received the 2004 Gold Plate Award. Restaurant owner Van Eure was also awarded the 2004 Food Service Operator of the Year.
The Angus Barn has been a mainstay in Raleigh for 44 years. Eure took over the restaurant after her father's death in 1988.
She credits the restaurant's success to integrity, teamwork and excellence.
