Investigators are looking for a Raleigh businessman who reportedly disappeared last week.

Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, Wayne Gibbs, who owns Hayes Barton Nails, drove his truck to Lighthouse Food Mart on Bernard Street. He bought cigarettes and a drink and has not been seen or heard from since.

Raleigh police said they do not know whether foul play is involved or if Gibbs may have left on his own. At this point, investigators are not ruling anything out.

Cheryl Duke, Gibbs' sister, said this is completely out of character for him.

"He had no enemies. Everybody loved Wayne," she said. "He doesn't run off. He never has run off."

Gibbs' girlfriend said he was depressed recently because he was not feeling well.

Gibbs is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. The 36-year-old was last seen driving a black 1998 Toyota Tacoma Supercab pickup truck with North Carolina license NWA-6994.

Anyone with information on Gibbs or his whereabouts is asked to call Raleigh police at (919) 890-3555.
