DURHAM, N.C. — Geer Street at Madison has reopened to traffic after a water main burst overnight.
Durham police suspect an underground water line ruptured around 2 a.m.
Officials said water started pooling quickly and the road swelled and cracked.
Water and sewer crews were called to help seal it off.
