RALEIGH, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation will permanently implement a new traffic pattern on Hodge Road at U.S. 64 in Knightdale as soon as the weather cooperates.
The change was scheduled to take effect Saturday, but has was postponed due to the weather. The resident engineer says it could happen Tuesday or Wednesday, weather permitting.
Hodge Road traffic will be relocated onto a new section. Also, traffic signals will be installed at the Hodge Road and U.S. 64 intersection.
The traffic shift is part of the Interstate 540 construction project.
Motorists are reminded to watch signs for construction information, stay alert, and obey the posted speed limit.
