MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — A Moore County official is out of a job.
Assistant County Manager Michael Griffin was fired for allegedly spending taxpayer money without permission.
According to a county audit, Griffin gave more than $43,000 to a nonprofit parks foundation.
Griffin's lawyer said he plans to fight the dismissal.
