HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — The mother of a 3-year-old Harnett County boy mauled to death by a dog was found not guilty of neglect.
Prosecutors argued Christy Gambill was not paying attention when her son, Nathan, wandered into a neighbor's yard.
The judge ruled the state failed to prove its case.
