HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Two people will stand trial for an accident that killed a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill sportscaster.

Stephen Gates, who worked for the Tar Heel Sports Network, was struck while changing a tire on I-40 in Orange County last October. Investigators said he was partially in the road at the time.

Monday, a grand jury indicted Emily Caveness and Rabah Samara on hit-and-run charges.
