DURHAM, N.C. — Capitol Broadcasting Co., WRAL's parent company, is looking into the possiblity of holding First Night, a popular non-alcoholic New Year's Eve celebration, in Durham.
Currently, Raleigh and Asheville are the only two cities in North Carolina that host First Night parties.
It is estimated it would take $100,000 in local sponsorship to get the party off the ground.
