Funeral services were held Saturday for a woman who was found dead in the trunk of her car in Franklin County. She had been stabbed to death.

Narskelsky Angelean Pastuer, 52, of Zebulon was found Dec. 7 in the trunk of her Toyota Camry off U.S. Highway 1 south of Franklinton. She had been missing since  Nov. 8.

Authorities have interviewed Pastuer's former husband and have said he is a "person of interest" in the case.

Before her disappearance, Pastuer had taken out a domestic-violence protection order against her ex-husband, authorities said.

This was a really sad story my heart goes out to the family. And another question I have, because this seems to be an alarming trend. Domestic-violence protection orders do they really work? Or does law enforcement really need to be more agressive when it comes to these orders? This lady did nothing to deserve this, she only asked for a protective order that just seemed to be null and void. I pray justice will be served, may Mrs. Pastuer rest in peace.
