DOT Begins Rehabilitation Of 9 Durham Roads

RALEIGH, N.C. — The

North Carolina Department of Transportation

has begun rehabilitating nine roads in Durham County.

The rehabilitation projects are expected to be complete by mid-July.

The DOT is rehabilitating the following roads:

  • U.S. 501 from the Durham County line to Bywood Drive
  • Erwin Road from N.C. 751 to the Orange County line
  • Farrington Mill Road from Farrington Road to the Chatham County line
  • Glover Road from Angier Avenue to N.C. 147
  • Bivens Road from Kelvin Drive to the Orange County line
  • Cheek Road from Junction Road to Creech Road
  • Chapel Hill Road from Jean Avenue to the Orange County line
  • Bahama Road from the Person County line to S.R. 1611
  • Hobson Road from N.C. 54 to Davis Drive
  • During construction, motorists can expect lane closures, heavy delays and night and weekend work.
