KENLY, N.C. — A grand jury has decided there is enough evidence to indict a former police officer on insurance fraud charges.
According to investigators, Kinton staged a break-in at his home in January while he was on duty. The Kenly Police Department later fired him.
Investigators said Kinton wanted to collect $7,500 in insurance money.
