RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people were transported to WakeMed following a head-on collision at the Interstate 540-Glenwood Avenue exit in Raleigh Thursday morning.

Officials say Yuk Yong Cheung, 23, of Chapel Hill, came across the median, hitting Alfred Tyler Baker, 53, of Raleigh.

Cheung was traveling east in a 2003 Honda Civic; Baker was headed west in a 1998 Mazda 626.

Baker is listed in critical condition. Cheung's condition is not known.

So far, no charges have been filed. At one point, three of four lanes were closed to traffic.
