Wake County public libraries will have some extra cash next year thanks to a record-breaking book sale.
This year, organizers offered more than 500,000 books to the public. Fewer than 7,000 books did not sell.
This year's sale raked in more than $170,000, which was $58,000 more than last year.
The profits will help determine next year's budget.
