4 Charged With Selling Counterfeit Male Performance Drugs

RAEFORD, N.C. — Federal agents have arrested four brothers in connection with a yearlong undercover investigation into counterfeit prescription drugs for erectile dysfunction.

Investigators said the men received the fake pills from their father in Amman, Jordan, and then sold them at their two Zip-N-Mart stores in Raeford and Rocky Mount.

Abdallah Bayyari and his brothers are charged with trafficking, selling counterfeit goods and mail fraud.

The indictments allege that the store operators bought medication, such as Viagra and Cialis, at $1 each and sold them to customers at $10 to $30 each. They also claim that in September, the brothers had nearly 12,600 tablets shipped from Jordan.

The documents go on to say that Abdallah Bayyari told an undercover agent he could get him as many Viagra pills as he wished.

The four men are in federal prison awaiting trial.
