Power Outage Reported Near RTP

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Thousands of people in the Research Triangle Park area are in the dark.

A power outage near Alexander Drive and Miami Boulevard is affecting 3,700 customers.

There is no word on what caused the problem.

Duke Power crews are working to restore power in that area.
