One Killed, One Injured In Nash County Accident

Posted May 10, 2004

— One person was killed and another was injured during a wreck in Nash County. Authorities say two cars were traveling south on Interstate 95 when one hit the other's rear bumper.

The rear car reportedly lost control after the bump, went off the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver of that car was killed. Her male passenger was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the front car was not hurt, and her car had only minor damage to its rear bumper.

Authorities say no charges will be filed since the driver that caused the accident is dead.
