UNC-Chapel Hill Student Reported Missing

Police at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are seekign teh public's help in locating a missing student.

UNC-Chapel Hill police say Ziyan "Tim" Mao, 19, has not been seen since Tuesday. Mao is described as an Asian male who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His left ear is pierced, and he often wears an earring in this ear.

Mao was last seen in his residence hall room at 11 a.m. May 4. Foul play is not suspected in his disappearance at this time, officials said.

Anyone with information concerning his disappearance or location is urged to call the UNC Department of Public Safety at (919) 962-6565 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515.
