CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Officials in Cumberland County say a women wanted in the shooting death of her boyfriend was arrested Wednesday in Dunn.
The sheriff's office says Tywanda McPherson, 28, went to the Dunn Magistrate's Office at 4:30 a.m. to file a compaint against Robert Williams.
The magistrate saw an outstanding arrest warrant for McPherson and detained her.
Williams, 26, was found lying in the front yard of his Josie Street home Tuesday morning suffering from a gunshot wound. He died later that day at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Detectives were looking for McPherson, who they say lived with Williams.
McPherson is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
