ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — Both sides are close to settling out of court in the case of 6-year-old Sheila Hernandez.
In January, Hernandez was killed when a truck rammed into the back of a stopped school bus she was boarding.
Hernandez's parents sued the truck driver's employer for wrongful death.
Neither side will discuss the details of their possible agreement. Meanwhile, prosecutors are moving forward with criminal charges against the truck driver, Gary Garnett.
