HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — The Harnett County Sheriff's Office say two children have been kidnapped by their father.
Authorities believe 43-year-old Henry Diggs Jr. may have abducted his children -- Caramel Lashay Diggs, 6, and Antonio Davon Lee Diggs, 4, on Friday.
Both children had been placed in the custody of their aunt in Linden two weeks ago.
Authorities say Diggs has an extensive criminal history, and they believe both children could be in danger.
Diggs has relatives in the Wake County area, and he has previously lived in Colorado and California.
The Harnett County Sheriff's Office has obtained warrants against Diggs for felony abduction of children. A national wanted persons alert has been sent to all law enforcement agencies.
Authorities do not have a description of Diggs' vehicle. They also say the kidnapping did not meet the standards of an Amber Alert.
