A family skate night at a local rink is being called anything but wholesome.

Explicit lyrics were heard at the Wheels skating rink in Dunn last weekend. Two parents, upset about the music, filed a report with the Dunn Police Department.

"There were racial remarks played over the PA system. We heard obscenities. The oldest child in the report was seven years old, which means the children seven and under were listening to this type of language," said Capt. Ronnie Radcliffe.

Radcliffe said he is now talking with the district attorney's office to figure out what charges, if any, could be filed. One issue is whether the incident violates the state's obscenity law.
