Cumberland County Confirms 4th Rabies Case

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A raccoon that fought two dogs along Rockfish Road has tested positive for rabies.

It is the fourth case in the county in the last seven weeks, according to Cumberland County Animal Control.

Animal control officials will be in the Rockfish Road area alerting residents and distributing informational brochures.

All pet owners are encouraged to get their pets vaccinated if they have not already done so.
