WILSON, N.C. — Authorities in Wilson have arrested a man in connection with the assault of an acquaintance.
Wilson police officers were dispatched to Wilson Medical Center where authorities say the woman had been physically assaulted, stabbed and possibly sexually assaulted.
On Monday, officers arrested Christopher Alan Hester, an acquaintance of the victim. He has been charged with first-degree burglary, attempted first-degree rape and attempted murder.
Hester is currently in the Wilson County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond, pending his first court appearance.
