RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina health insurance company is facing a lawsuit
The
North Carolina Medical Society
plans to file suit against UnitedHealthcare of North Carolina.
The medical society alleges unfair and deceptive business practices.
The lawsuit does not seek financial compensation, but a request from the court requiring the company to change some of its business practices.
UnitedHealthcare says the lawsuit is not a constructive course to take.
