DURHAM, N.C. — It appears an early morning fire at a Duke University men's dormitory was set deliberately.
According to university police, someone set fire to towels and tissue in a second-floor bathroom around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Similar evidence was found in a first-floor bathroom, causing investigators to belive the crimes were connected.
An officer responding to the fire was treated at Duke Hospital for smoke inhalation and later released.
No other injuries were reported.
