HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A former Harnett County sheriff's deputy caught on tape kicking a handcuffed suspect will not stand trial.
Deputy Johnny Sanders was charged after an incident in Lillington.
The district attorney said there is not enough evidence to proceed, but it did not rule out re-filing charges if more evidence comes to light.
