The Pitt County Sheriff's Office arrested a fifth person Tuesday in connection with a convenience store shooting that killed three people.

Zipporah Rochell Purvis, 25, faces three counts of accessory after the fact in the April 1 shooting of three employees at Hustle Mart in Farmville. Sheriff Neil Elks said Purvis helped the three men and one juvenile accused in the shooting to evade arrest.

Purvis was being held at the Pitt County jail under $3 million bond.

"In any investigation, if you conceal information about the crime, or you help the suspect in any way elude arrest, then you are an active participant," Elks said.

More arrests are possible, Elks said.

Antwan Andre Anthony, 29, Xavier Montel Shamble, 19, and Willie Whitehead, 23, as well as an unidentified juvenile, were arrested April 4 and charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Mokbel Mohamed "Sam" Almujanhi, 16, Nabil Nasser Saeed Al'mogannahi, 26, and Gaber Alawi, 24.

All four face numerous other charges, including first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Almujanhi was the store owner's son and the other two men were also relatives.

Drop the hammer and make an example out of all these hoodlums and hopefully this kind of behavior will be reduced to a smaller rate. If they allow these hoodlums to be able to pay their debt to society and return to society later on then what lesson has been learned and what lesson is our legal system teaching?

@iknowjack Cool story bro, still think it could be a hate crime if they chose to rob that store knowing the race of the owners and employees, over another store.

How could this qualify as a hate crime? The 16 year old who was gunned down appears to be middle-eastern and he was gunned down by black men. That's not a hate crime. If it was a 16 year old black male gunned down by a middle-eastern neighborhood watch officer (er, I mean store owner) then yes...100% hate crime.

There should be a new law than anyone who kills during a robbery is automatic death sentence. If you got a gun your gonna get what you want in the robbery, if you shoot and kill them you are a cold blooded terrorist murderer that should die!

The rules and laws of society mean nothing to these people. Thank you President Johnson for your GREAT SOCIETY.
