Curbside Recycling Expanded In Raleigh Pilot Program

RALEIGH, N.C. — The city of Raleigh will try adding additional items to its curbside recycling program
On Monday, the city launches a pilot program for curbside collection of heavy duty cardboard and chipboard.
About 2,800 households will participate and the program that will last about six months.
The program's kickoff coincides with Earth Day and is part of an effort to reduce solid waste in Wake County's landfill.
