Durham, N.C. — Durham police arrested a man Friday in the June 2000 murder of his sister-in-law.

Firefighters found the burned body of Vivian Moore Leak, 47, on June 20, 2000, inside a garage that belonged to her estranged husband, Johnny Leak, at 5 Lullwater Court. 

The man they arrested, Clayton Leak, 64, of Pickwick Trail, is the brother of that garage owner.

Police did not explain how, after 12 years, they linked Clayton Leak to the woman's death.
